Teaching in the Digital World

This teacher session will cover the latest trends, apps, traps and big issues, the risks and incident responses for cyber bullying, discuss the latest and best industry resources including the Office of the eSafety Commissioner and the importance of policy and procedure in responding to these incidents.

Outcomes:
  • Teachers will gain an understanding of the latest digital trends and digital growth, and learn how to respond to the latest trends, Apps, traps & big issues.
  • Teachers will learn how to discuss current strategies for dealing with cyber safety and bullying incidents, including advice for school-based reporting processes and information about current online reporting sites/forms.
  • Teachers will gain an understanding of the key risks for young people online.
  • Teachers will learn how to outline the core ‘eSmart’ principles for the school, including the provision of best industry resource.
