Audience: Students, Lower – Middle Secondary

Description: This ground-breaking workshop looks at sexting and image-based abuse in a new way by encouraging students to discuss what it means to be in a respectful relationship and reflect on issues of consent.

Of the students who have completed the workshop:

  • ninety-one per cent said it changed or strengthened their view of how they would respond to image-based abuse 
  • ninety per cent felt more confident in handling image-based abuse
  • ninety-five per cent would recommend workshops to others.

Our Sexting and Image-based Abuse workshops:

  • Challenge gender biases within society. Our workshops aim to to replace gendered sexual pressures and victim blaming, with norms about respectful relationships
  • Explore different perspectives – and the law – to change the behaviours of people who share images without consent
  • Encourage young people to support each other and equip them with the knowledge they need to get help when it's needed.

Note: Due to its interactive nature, this workshop is designed for classroom sized groups only.
