Teacher PD – Risk & Response – Cyber Bullying

Description: This teacher session will cover risks and incident responses for cyber bullying. It will discuss the latest and best industry resources including the Office of the eSafety Commissioner and the importance of policy and procedure in responding to these incidents.

Audience:  Adults – Teachers
Duration: 45 minutes
Recommended workshop size: Class size (max. 30)

Outcomes:

  • Teachers will learn how to discuss current strategies for dealing with cyber safety and bullying incidents, including advice for school-based reporting processes and information about current online reporting sites/forms.
  • Teachers will gain an understanding of the key risks for young people online.
  • Teachers will learn how to outline the core ‘eSmart’ principles for the school, including the provision of best industry resource.
