Risk and Response - Cyber safety and Bullying, Teachers

Audience:  Teachers

Description: This teacher session will cover risks and incident responses for current cyber trends, including cyber bullying, sexting, impersonation/hacking and trolling/flaming. It will discuss the latest and best industry resources, including the Office of the eSafety Commissioner and the importance of policy and procedure in responding to these incidents.

Outcomes:

  • You will learn how to discuss current strategies for dealing with cyber safety and bullying incidents, including advice for school-based reporting processes and information about current online reporting sites/forms
  • You will understand the key risks for young people online
  • You will learn how to outline of core ‘eSmart’ principles for the school, including the provision of best industry resource
