Description: Introduces the concept of Digital Citizenship whilst discussing safe social media use, and critical digital literacy. This workshop aims to increase young people’s understanding of the essence of privacy online, specifically the permanent nature of online posts, the importance of privacy settings, the value of personal data and how to protect everyone’s privacy.

Outcomes:

  • You will understand the privacy implications around data collection for minors and the value of personal data
  • You will know how to emphasise the importance of being kind online and that words can hurt
  • You will learn to appreciate the impact of your digital footprint and understand how sharing can impact you now and in the future
